The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will talk about what has brought you to therapy, your goals, and any questions or concerns you may have. We will also review important information such as confidentiality, consent, and how we will work together. There is no pressure to share everything right away. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length.
My standard fee is $245 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of the appointment, and a receipt will be provided for submission to extended health benefits.
At this time, I do not offer direct billing. Clients are responsible for payment at the time of the session and can submit receipts to their insurance providers for reimbursement.
Yes, all sessions are currently offered virtually through a secure online platform. You will receive a link prior to your appointment with instructions on how to join.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and emotion dysregulation, as well as challenges related to identity, self-esteem, life transitions, and career direction. I also have experience supporting individuals navigating cognitive changes following concussion, head injury, or other health concerns.
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural, insight-oriented, mindfulness-based, and client-centered therapies.
This depends on your goals and preferences. Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions, and we adjust over time as needed.
I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee.
Yes, confidentiality is an important part of therapy. There are some limits to confidentiality (for example, if there is risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law), which will be discussed with you in detail at the start of our work together.
You are welcome to reach out by email or through the contact form on this website. I will respond to arrange an initial appointment and answer any questions you may have.
